Very predictable result when sixth ranked Alpo (10-5) beat on the road bottom-ranked Torino (0-15) 81-70 on Sunday. Alpo dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Torino's 26. Alpo forced 21 Torino turnovers and outrebounded them 42-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Croatian guard Lana Packovski (172-94) stepped up and scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and forward Martina Rosignoli (176-1) chipped in 22 points and 4 steals. Four Alpo players scored in double figures. Swingman Agnese Bevolo (175-2) responded with 19 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 9 steals and Finnish point guard Anni Jamsa (169-95) scored 19 points and 6 assists. Torino's coach Mario Corrado rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Alpo maintains sixth place in A2 with 10-5 record. Newly promoted Torino still closes the standings with 15 games lost. Alpo will meet at home higher ranked Milano (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Torino will play against Vicenza (#12) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
