Regular Season Round 21: Coruna - Prat 82-61

There was no surprise when 16th ranked Prat (7-13) was outplayed on the road by fourth ranked Coruna (13-9) 82-61 on Sunday. Coruna outrebounded Prat 36-24 including a 29-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Coruna especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. The best player for the winners was American forward Nick Ward (203-1997, college: Michigan St.) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). British swingman Morayo Soluade (196-1995) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Coruna players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Adria Domenech (207-2002) who recorded 12 points and 6 rebounds and guard Sergi Costa (188-1996) added 12 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Coruna have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 13-9 record. Prat lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixteenth position with 13 games lost. Coruna will meet Acunsa GBC (#8) in the next round. Prat will play against Melilla (#12) and hope to secure a win.
