There was a small surprise when fifteenth ranked Bologna Basket (6-13) beat on the road 12th ranked Jesolo (5-13) 71-58 on Sunday. It was an exceptional evening for center Eugenio Beretta (208-96) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Anfernee Hidalgo (180-96) accounted for 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Forward Tommaso Rossi (198-99) came up with 20 points and Davide Bovo (198-97, agency: SLN) added 10 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Jesolo in the defeat. Bologna Basket moved-up to twelfth place in B, which they share with Crema. Jesolo lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fourteenth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Olginate. Bologna Basket will meet at home higher ranked Mestre (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jesolo will play against the league's leader Cividale (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
