No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked H.Afula (11-9) defeated at home 8th ranked E.Netanya (9-9) 103-89 on Tuesday. They outrebounded E.Netanya 46-28 including a 36-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. H.Afula looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. American center Michael Holyfield (211-1992, college: SHSU) had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 19 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import point guard Keron DeShields (190-1992, college: Tennessee St., agency: BIG) chipped in 34 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side American forward DeSean Parsons (201-1995, college: Portland St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and guard Roy Paretsky (193-2002) scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four E.Netanya players scored in double figures. H.Afula maintains sixth position with 11-9 record, which they share with M.Haifa. Loser E.Netanya keeps the eighth place with nine games lost. H.Afula will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. E.Netanya will play against I.Ramat Gan (#4) and hope to secure a win.
