Damligan top team - Lulea Basket (19-1) added another victory to their record. This time they beat ninth ranked Hogsbo (8-10) in Goteborg 77-73. Lulea Basket players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The winners were led by American guard Brooke McCarty-Williams (163-1995, college: Texas) who scored that evening 30 points and 4 assists and the former international forward Josefin Vesterberg (192-1993) supported her with 8 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists. Even a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds by American forward Korinne Campbell (184-1988, college: WVU) did not help to save the game for Hogsbo. The former international guard Ida Fredrikson (172-1998) added 12 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts. Lulea Basket have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 19-1 record. Hogsbo at the other side dropped to the eighth place with ten games lost. Lulea Basket will play against IK Eos (#9) in Lund in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hogsbo will play at home against Alvik Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
