Regular Season Round 20: Clarinos - Ferrol 73-58

Bottom-ranked Clarinos managed to get a fourth victory, breaking the five-game losing streak. This time they won against fifteenth-ranked Ferrol in San Cristobal 73-58. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 15-point difference suggests that Clarinos is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Theresa Plaisance (196-1992, college: LSU) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 8 rebounds and Slovakian power forward Zofia Hruscakova (190-1995) who added 13 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Serbian swingman Milica Ivanovic (178-1988, college: Catawba) responded with 14 points and American power forward Taylor Koenen (188-1998, college: UNC, agency: LBM Management) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Clarinos maintains sixteenth position with 4-14 record. Ferrol lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fourteenth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Bembibre. Clarinos will play against higher ranked Ensino (#12) in Lugo in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Ferrol will play at home against IDK Eustotren and hopes to get back on the winning track.
