Leader Sokol recorded the nineteenth victory on Wednesday night. This time they beat 12th ranked Krosno (9-13) 100-90. Sokol made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Krosno turnovers. Point guard Marcin Nowakowski (184-1989) stepped up and scored 25 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and forward Mateusz Brek (192-1994) chipped in 22 points. Four Sokol players scored in double figures. Sokol's coach Dariusz Kaszowski used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side guard Roman Janik (184-1995) responded with 36 points (!!!) and naturalized German forward Julian Jasinski (201-1996) scored 8 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. Sokol maintains first place with 19-5 record. Loser Krosno keeps the twelfth position with 13 games lost. Sokol will meet at home Kociewskie Diably (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Krosno will play against Krakow and hope to secure a win.
