Second Stage Round 1: KTP Basket - Pyrinto 90-75

Eleventh defeat of league's leader Pyrinto against KTP Basket 90-75 was the most important game of the last round. The game was mostly controlled by KTP Basket. Pyrinto managed to win third quarter 23-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when KTP Basket made 10 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Remu Raitanen (206-1997, college: USF, agency: Blacktop Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds. American power forward Urald King (198-1990, college: SE Oklahoma) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks for the winners. Four KTP Basket players scored in double figures. American guard Ike Smith (193-1997, college: Georgia South) answered with 16 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Osku Heinonen (194-1992) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Pyrinto. Pyrinto's coach Miikka Sopanen rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pyrinto will play next round against strong Kouvot trying to make it back to the top of the standings. KTP Basket will try to continue on its current victory against Kauhajoki on the road.
