Important game to mention about took place in Reykjavik. Fifth ranked Valur (10-7) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 9th ranked IR (7-10) 83-80 on Thursday evening. The guests were ahead by 9 points but lost the second period ending it with a 3-point deficit before their 25-19 run, which allowed them to win the game. The former international forward Kristofer Acox (200-1993, college: Furman) nailed 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and the former international guard Kari Jonsson (192-1997, college: Drexel) accounted for 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Lithuanian center Tomas Zdanavicius (203-1996) came up with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 12 rebounds (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field) and American guard Triston Simpson (188, college: S.Dakota) added 15 points and 7 assists respectively for IR in the defeat. Valur moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Stjarnan. IR at the other side keeps the ninth position with ten games lost. They share it with Breidablik.
