Regular Season Round 17: Kouvot - OBA 86-62

Leading OBA (9-4) recorded its fourth loss in Kouvola. Visitors were rolled over by fourth ranked Kouvot (8-4) 86-62. The game was mostly controlled by Kouvot. OBA was better in fourth quarter 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded OBA 51-32 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Kouvot players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Point guard Daniel Rantapaju (182-2004) nailed 28 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side and center Veeti Helakorpi (206-2002) accounted for 20 points and 18 rebounds. Four Kouvot players scored in double figures. Center Gezim Bajrami (207-2003) came up with 13 points and guard Morris Ugusuk (189-2004) added 10 points respectively for OBA in the defeat. OBA's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Kouvot maintains fourth place with 8-4 record, which they share with Pyrinto. OBA at the other side dropped to the second position with four games lost. They share it with Honka. Kouvot will play against PuHu (#6) in Vantaa in the next round. OBA will play at home against MuKi (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
