Regular Season Round 19: Sleza 2 - Leszno 66-75

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Leszno (13-4) beat bottom-ranked Sleza 2 (0-18) in Wroclaw 75-66 on Friday. Leszno looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Iga Walentowska (170-1994) who led the winners and scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Magdalena Pisera (178-1995) accounted for 26 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Forward Aleksandra Mielnicka (173-2004) came up with 19 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and Anna Jasinska (181-2002) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Sleza 2 in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Leszno have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place in Group B. Newly promoted Sleza 2 still closes the standings with 18 games lost. Leszno will meet at home Pol.Krakow (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Sleza 2 will play against Katy Wrocl. (#8) in Katy Wroclawskie and hopes to get finally their first victory.
