Everything went according to plan in Kinna where seventh ranked Mark (10-10) beat 11th ranked Sparks (6-15) 78-73 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Mark made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. They also forced 25 Sparks turnovers. The best player for the winners was American guard Chanette Hicks (168-1997, college: Norfolk St.) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 8 assists and 11 steals. The other American import forward Brittany Hernandez (185-1993, college: UCCS) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. American power forward Ashley Harris (187-1990, college: WSC) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Ebba Sjokvist (171-2000) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for the guests. Four Sparks players scored in double figures. Sparks' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Mark maintains seventh position with 10-10 record.
