Regular Season Round 17: Aulnoye - CFBB 70-54

There was no surprise when 11th ranked CFBB (3-14) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Aulnoye (10-7) 70-54 on Saturday. Aulnoye forced 19 CFBB turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Aulnoye especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 64.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Swiss guard Evita Herminjard (175-1998, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) stepped up and scored 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and power forward Stepha MBaye (181-1995, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) chipped in 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Marine Dursus (174-2005) responded with 16 points and 4 steals and point guard Leila Lacan (174-2004) scored 7 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aulnoye have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. CFBB lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 14 games lost. Aulnoye will meet at home higher ranked Chartres (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. CFBB will play against the league's second-placed Mondeville (#2) and hope to secure a win.
