No shocking result in a game when third ranked Rishon LZ (12-5) beat 6th ranked Petah Tikva (8-10) in Rishon Le-Zion 85-67 on Saturday. Rishon LZ looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Guard Jennie Simms (183-1994, college: ODU) nailed a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and forward Kristi Bellock (186-1990, college: Texas A&M) accounted for 15 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four Rishon LZ players scored in double figures. Rishon LZ's coach Ziv Erez used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Kenisha Bell (175-1994, college: Minnesota) came up with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and center Khadijiah Cave (190-1995, college: Baylor) added 20 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Petah Tikva in the defeat. Rishon LZ maintains third place with 12-5 record having just three points less than leader M.Haifa. Loser Petah Tikva keeps the sixth position with ten games lost.
