Regular Season Round 24: Tsmoki-Minsk U20 - Impuls BGUIR 75-61

There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Tsmoki-Minsk U20 (4-19) beat at home 7th ranked Impuls BGUIR (9-14) 75-61 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Tsmoki-Minsk U20. Impuls BGUIR managed to win third quarter 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tsmoki-Minsk U20 forced 28 Impuls BGUIR turnovers. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Daniil Kosko (187-2004) who scored 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Illia Milasheuski (187-2004) chipped in 14 points. Four Tsmoki-Minsk U20 players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international guard Siarhei Vabishchevich (191-1988) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists and Genadziy Zahar (199-1992) added 18 points and 12 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Tsmoki-Minsk U20 maintains ninth position with 4-19 record. Loser Impuls BGUIR keeps the seventh place with 14 games lost. Tsmoki-Minsk U20 will meet league's leader Borisfen in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Impuls BGUIR's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Minsk to the arena Tsmoki II.
