The game in Vimpeli supposed to be also worth to mention about. Marsky Helsinki (12-9) played at the court of Vimpelin Veto (10-11). Marsky Helsinki smashed Vimpelin Veto 98-59. The game without a history. Marsky Helsinki led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Vimpelin Veto's 34. Marsky Helsinki forced 29 Vimpelin Veto turnovers and outrebounded them 47-34 including a 22-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Marsky Helsinki players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Saana Kujala (184-2002) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. The former international guard Elina Aarnisalo (176-2005) accounted for 23 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Marsky Helsinki players scored in double figures. American forward Kym Royster (188-1997, college: Indiana, agency: Green Sports Management) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds and Serbian center Anastasija Podunavac (185-1997, agency: BIG) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Vimpelin Veto in the defeat. Vimpelin Veto's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Marsky Helsinki will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Vimpelin Veto will play on the road against Peli-Karhut (#1) in Kotka and hopes to get back on the winning track.
