Regular Season Round 19: Real Canoe - Mollet 86-83

There was a surprise result when ninth ranked Real Canoe (7-10) edged 4th placed Mollet (11-7) in Madrid 86-83 on Saturday. It was an exceptional evening for forward Gabriel Gil (200-2001) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Daniel de la Rua (181-1997) accounted for 13 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. Forward Ignasi Belver (197-1994) came up with 15 points and 7 rebounds and guard Marc Sese (189-1993) added 19 points respectively for Mollet in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Real Canoe maintains ninth place in Silver with 7-10 record. Newly promoted Mollet dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. Real Canoe will meet Villarrobledo (#14) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Mollet will play against La Roda (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
