Regular Season Round 16: Montenegro - Sutomore 93-78

The most important game in the last round took place in between third ranked Sutomore (10-5) and fifth ranked Montenegro (10-5) on Saturday night. Sutomore was defeated by Montenegro on the road 78-93. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Sutomore's 30. Montenegro looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Petar Visnjic who helped to win the game recording 35 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. Center Marko Perovic (204-1992, agency: 011 Sports) contributed with 26 points and 4 assists for the winners. Point guard Aleksa Mandic (184-1997) replied with 34 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and guard Milos Rajovic (196-1990) added 18 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for Sutomore. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Montenegro moved-up to third place, which they share with Podgorica 2 and Sutomore. Montenegro is looking forward to face Vukovi Zeta (#7) in Golubovci in the next round. Sutomore will play at home against Rudar (#9) and is hoping to win this game.
