Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Cecina (6-12) was defeated on the road by third ranked Omegna (14-5) 77-60 on Saturday. Omegna forced 22 Cecina turnovers. The best player for the winners was center Jacopo Balanzoni (205-1993, agency: SLN) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Naturalized Albanian Franko Bushati (191-1985) chipped in 6 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Omegna's coach Flavio Fioretti used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lorenzo Pistillo (195-1997) produced 11 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Alessandro Banchi (185-1998) added 11 points respectively for the guests. Omegna maintains third position in B with 14-5 record having just three points less than leader Vigevano. Loser Cecina dropped to the fifteenth place with 12 games lost. Omegna will meet Oleggio (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Cecina will play against Piombino and hope to secure a win.
