Regular Season Round 18: HBA-Marsky - Raiders Basket 84-81

The most exciting game of round 18 in the 1st Division took place in Helsinki. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Raiders Basket (9-9) to seventh ranked HBA-Marsky (9-8) 84-81 in the game for the sixth place. Raiders Basket trailed by 11 points at halftime and as many as 22 after three quarters before a 37-18 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 81-84 at the end of the game. Guard Miro Little (196-2004) had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Okku Federiko (194-2004) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Ahmad Gilbert (201-1996, college: St.Thomas, FL) with 19 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and forward Semi Saari (190-1998) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. HBA-Marsky moved-up to sixth place in 1st Division. Raiders Basket at the other side dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. HBA-Marsky will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Raiders Basket will play on the road against Pyrinto Ak.A (#10) in Tampere and is hoping to win this game.
