No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Zagreb (7-8) defeated on the road 10th ranked Split (4-12) 57-49 on Saturday. They outrebounded Split 53-33 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Zagreb looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Marta Ostojic (186-2003) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists and center Viktorija Curic (185-2001) who added 10 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Four Zagreb players scored in double figures. At the losing side Bosnian point guard Gabrijela Viskovic (175-2000) responded with 24 points and 4 assists and center Lea Marsic (184-2003) scored 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Zagreb moved-up to sixth place. Split lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Sibenik and Brod na Savi. Zagreb will meet at home Pula (#7) in the next round. Split will play against Tresnjevka in Zagreb and hope to secure a win.
