Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Firenze (12-6) outleveled at home 13th ranked Nico Basket (5-12) 67-42 on Sunday. Firenze made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Firenze outrebounded Nico Basket 49-34 including 35 on the defensive glass. Swingman Flavia De Cassan (175-1998) scored 6 points, 17 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Marta Rossini (170-2001) chipped in 22 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Sara Giangrasso (175-2000) with 17 points and 7 rebounds and guard Chiara Bacchini (180-1998, college: Quinnipiac) scored 6 points and 5 rebounds.
