Regular Season Round 19: Tromso - Nidaros Jets 88-76

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Nidaros Jets (3-22) were defeated on the road by seventh ranked Tromso (12-13) 88-76 on Sunday. Tromso shot 61.8 percent from the field. Tromso had a 28-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Rasheed Worrell (203-1996, college: Lynn, agency: One Motive Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Hallvard Staff helped adding 19 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Worrell is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. At the losing side American power forward Chris Carter (205-1992, college: LIU Brooklyn) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 rebounds and guard Max Svendsen (191-2002) scored 13 points and 7 assists. Four Nidaros Jets players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Tromso. They maintain seventh place with 12-13 record. Nidaros Jets at the other side keep the ninth position with 22 games lost. Tromso will meet at home league's second-placed Gimle BBK in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nidaros Jets will play against Kongsberg (#4) and hope to secure a win.
