Seventh-ranked Polonia W-wa (8-9) made lots of trouble for second ranked Lublin (15-3) in Warszawa on Sunday. The visitors from Lublin managed to secure only three-point victory 79-76. However their fans expected much easier game. Lublin looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was American power forward Natasha Mack (193-1997, college: OK State, agency: LBM Management) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import guard Kamiah Smalls (178-1998, college: JMU, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 17 points and 8 assists. Four Lublin players scored in double figures. Lublin's coach Krzysztof Szewczyk used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American guard Loryn Goodwin (171-1994, college: OK State) produced 26 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international Klaudia Sosnowska (186-1990) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the hosts. Lublin have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 15-3 record having just one point less than leader Polkowice. Polonia W-wa lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh place with nine games lost. Lublin are looking forward to face Sosnowiec (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Polonia W-wa will play against Katarzynki in Torun and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
