Regular Season Round 20: Roseto - Cesena 98-65

Very expected game when 10th ranked Cesena (8-11) was crushed on the road by first ranked Roseto (18-2) 98-65 on Sunday. Roseto dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Cesena's 22 and made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Roseto forced 19 Cesena turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was naturalized Serbian Aleksa Nikolic (205-1999) who scored 41 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (on 15-of-18 shooting from the field). Guard Alfonso Zampogna (185-2000, agency: SLN) chipped in 18 points and 5 assists. Fabio Bugatti (198-1998, agency: SLN) produced 25 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and San Marino swingman Gioele Moretti (190-1993) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Roseto maintains first position in B with 18-2 record. Loser Cesena keeps the tenth place with 11 games lost. Roseto will meet league's second-placed Rimini on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cesena will play against Rieti Kienergia (#3) and hope to secure a win.
