The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Widzew (14-4) on the court of sixth ranked Swarzedz on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Swarzedz 78-74. Worth to mention a great performance of Magdalena Wojdalska (173-1994) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 5 rebounds. Olga Jedrzejczak (181-2002) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Natalia Gzinka (178-1998) answered with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international forward Ewelina Gala (185-1990) added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Widzew. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Swarzedz (10-6) moved-up to fifth place in Group B. Widzew at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. Swarzedz are looking forward to face Wisla Krakow (#7) on the road in the next round. Widzew will play against Zgorzelec (#9) and is hoping to win this game.
