Rather predictable result in Corneliano d'Alba where first ranked Vigevano (17-2) defeated 5th ranked Langhe Roero (12-8) 82-68 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was swingman Jacopo Mercante (197-1990) who scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Power forward Gianluca Giorgi (200-1995) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Castellino Nicolo (190-2002) produced 10 points and 8 rebounds and center Emanuele Tarditi (206-1993) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vigevano maintains first position in B with 17-2 record. Newly promoted Langhe Roero keeps the fifth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Fiorenzuola. Vigevano will meet at home Empoli (#13) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Langhe Roero will play against the league's second-placed San Miniato (#2) and hope to secure a win.
