Very expected game when 6th ranked Tukums (4-6) were smashed at home by first ranked Ventspils Spars (11-1) 104-39 on Sunday. Ventspils Spars held Tukums to an opponent 20.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 55.3 percent accuracy of the winners. Ventspils Spars forced 20 Tukums turnovers and outrebounded them 47-28 including a 41-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Ventspils Spars looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Tukums' players. The winners were led by guard Ricards Rungis (176-2004) who scored that evening 23 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals and forward Toms Salnajs (199-2005) supported him with 11 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists.
