Not a big story in a game in Oslo where 5th ranked Ullern (6-8) was defeated by third ranked Asker (12-5) 72-68 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American guard Tayler Bennett (172-1998, college: Academy of Art) who scored 30 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Siri Granheim (178-1994) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 16 rebounds. Bennett is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international center Tori Halvorsen (183-1988, college: American) who recorded a double-double by scoring 27 points and 16 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and forward Felicia Dyngeland-Sunden (173-2003) added 19 points and 5 assists respectively. The victory was the third consecutive win for Asker. They maintain third place with 12-5 record having just one point less than leader Ulriken. Loser Ullern keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. Asker will meet at home bottom-ranked Hoybraten (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Ullern will play against Bergen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
