Regular Season Round 25: Trefl 2 - Arka 2 76-38

There was a surprise result in Sopot where twelfth ranked Trefl 2 (8-14) smashed higher ranked Arka (10-13) 76-38 on Wednesday. Trefl 2 held Arka to an opponent 20.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 42.9 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Arka 58-32 including a 43-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Lukasz Klawa (206-2001) fired a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Milosz Toczek (182-2005) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Trefl 2 players scored in double figures. Center Lukasz Walkowiak (205-2003) produced 6 points and 9 rebounds and guard Marcin Kowalczyk (190-2002) added 9 points respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Trefl 2 moved-up to eleventh place in Group A. Arka lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 13 games lost. Trefl 2 will meet league's second-placed Miedzychod on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Arka will play against Chelmno (#15) and hope to secure a win.
