Regular Season Round 25: Legionowo - Tur Bielsk Pdl. 77-101

There was no surprise when 13th ranked Legionowo (5-18) was outplayed at home by third ranked Tur Bielsk Pdl. (20-4) 101-77 on Wednesday. Tur Bielsk Pdl. forced 23 Legionowo turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Jaroslaw Gizynski (196-1999) fired 17 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Guard Przemyslaw Zygmunciak (186-2000, college: N.Platte CC) chipped in 17 points. Center Lukasz Paul (205-1989) produced a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds and guard Sylwester Kus (188-1990) added 23 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tur Bielsk Pdl. have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain third place in Group B with 20-4 record having just two points less than leader Polonia W-wa. Legionowo lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth position with 18 games lost. Tur Bielsk Pdl. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Legionowo will play against MKS Ochota (#12) in Warszawa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
