Bottom-ranked Boras managed to get a fifth victory, breaking the series of two consecutive losses on Wednesday night. This time newly promoted Boras won against seventh-ranked Mark 76-62. Boras dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Mark's 20. They outrebounded Mark 52-31 including a 41-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Boras made 7 blocks. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was center Rodjanae Wade (188-1998, college: UNLV) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Brooke Johnson (183-1996, college: UNLV) chipped in 15 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Boras' coach Patrick Ryan used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Chanette Hicks (168-1997, college: Norfolk St.) who recorded 15 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and Darien Huff (175-1997, college: Charleston) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Newly promoted Boras maintains fourteenth place with 5-17 record. Mark at the other side keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. Boras are looking forward to face higher ranked A3 Basket (#5) in Umea in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mark will play at home against the league's second-placed Dolphins where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
