Regular Season Round 19: Torino - Treviso 44-75
Date: February 23, 2022
The game between closely ranked teams ended with bottom-ranked Torino's (0-18) home loss to thirteenth ranked Treviso (2-14) 44-75 on Wednesday. Treviso forced 24 Torino turnovers and had a 29-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Croatian Klaudia Perisa (180-1996) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Michela Volpato (174-1997) accounted for 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Four Treviso players scored in double figures. Center Clara Salvini (180-1992) came up with 10 points and Finnish point guard Anni Jamsa (169-1995) added 8 points and 4 assists respectively for Torino in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Treviso maintains thirteenth place in A2 with 2-14 record. Torino at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with 18 games lost. Treviso will meet higher ranked Vicenza (#11) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Torino will play against the league's second-placed Udine having rather not much hope for a victory.
