Regular Season Round 19: Scrivia - Brescia 71-44
Date: February 26, 2022
The game between third ranked Brescia (13-4) and fifth ranked Scrivia (13-5) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Brescia was crushed by Scrivia in Scrivia 44-71. Scrivia forced 22 Brescia turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Giulia Rulli (183-1991) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Valentina Bonasia (163-1994, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Scrivia players scored in double figures. Power forward Marta Scarsi (182-1995) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and Alice Gregori (182-2000, agency: LBM Management) added 15 points in the effort for Brescia. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Scrivia moved-up to fourth place in A2. Brescia at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. Scrivia are looking forward to face Ponzano (#9) in Veneto in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Brescia will play on the road against Bolzano BC (#12) and is hoping to win this game.
