Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Split (4-13) was outscored by third ranked Tresnjevka (14-3) in Zagreb 90-49 on Saturday. Tresnjevka dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Split's 22. Tresnjevka forced 19 Split turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Split's players. Vivien Nejasmic (182-2004) nailed a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and the former international center Josipa Juric (196-2001) accounted for 11 points and 5 rebounds. Tresnjevka's coach Dean Nemec felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Lea Marsic (184-2003) came up with 12 points and 8 rebounds and guard Tea Turic (178-1998) added 12 points and 5 assists respectively for Split in the defeat. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Tresnjevka. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Ragusa. Split lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the ninth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Sibenik and Brod na Savi. Tresnjevka will meet Pula (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Split will play against Sibenik and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
