Regular Season Round 26: Notec Inowr. - Pyra 94-78

There was no surprise in Inowroclaw where 5th ranked Pyra (14-9) was defeated by third ranked Notec Inowr. (18-5) 94-78 on Saturday. Notec Inowr. outrebounded Pyra 42-29 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Mikolaj Grod (194-1989) had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Jakub Kondraciuk (191-1999) chipped in 20 points and 4 assists during the contest. Guard Marcin Flieger (185-1984) responded with 25 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and Przemyslaw Szymanski (198-1984) scored 11 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Pyra players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Notec Inowr. maintains third position in Group A with 18-5 record having seven points less than leader Polonia W-wa. Newly promoted Pyra keeps the fifth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Tarnovia. Notec Inowr. will meet KKS Basket (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pyra will play against SMS PZKosz (#11) in Wladyslawowo and hope to secure a win.
