Regular Season Round 26: Nysa - Slask 3 90-69

There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Slask 3 (15-9) was crushed on the road by eighth ranked Nysa (13-10) 90-69 on Saturday. Nysa had a 38-27 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international power forward Michal Ignerski (207-1980, college: MSU) had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 17 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Maciej Garwol (190-1995) chipped in 21 points and 4 assists during the contest. Forward Jakub Bereszynski (197-2004) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and forward Kuba Pisla (198-2004) scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Nysa moved-up to seventh place in Group D. Slask 3 lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with nine games lost. They share it with Zary. Nysa will meet at home higher ranked Pleszew (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Slask 3 will play against Zastal ZG in Nowa Sol and hope to secure a win.
