Very predictable result when eighth ranked Almeda (9-10) won against 13th ranked Distrito Olimpico (3-16) in Madrid 54-43 on Saturday. Almeda held Distrito Olimpico to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 40.0 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Distrito Olimpico 42-30 including a 36-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by Alba Barneda (-2003) who scored that evening 15 points and 6 rebounds and center Cristina Pujol (178-1995) supported her with 8 points and 10 rebounds. Even 7 points and 7 rebounds by Monica Alonso (-2001) did not help to save the game for Distrito Olimpico. Guard Irene Ona (170-1994) added 8 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts.
