Regular Season Round 20: Adareva - Coruna 85-70

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Adareva (15-3) defeated 9th ranked Coruna (7-10) in Tenerife 85-70 on Saturday. Adareva dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Coruna's 46. The winners were led by Mali Fatoumata Fofana (-1996) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points and 21 rebounds and Julie Dacosta (-1999) supported her with 20 points and 8 rebounds. Five Adareva players scored in double figures. Adareva's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 21 points and 15 rebounds by American swingman Amy Griffin (183-1996, college: La Salle) did not help to save the game for Coruna. Forward Andrea Perez (178-1993) added 14 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Adareva moved-up to second place. Coruna lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost. Adareva will meet Unicaja (#4) in the next round. Coruna will play against Cordoba (#7) and hope to secure a win.
