Important game to mention about took place in Haifa. Sixth ranked H.Afula (13-10) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 7th ranked M.Haifa (12-12) 88-87 in the game for the sixth place. H.Afula players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Keron DeShields (190-1992, college: Tennessee St., agency: BIG) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Center Michael Holyfield (211-1992, college: SHSU) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four H.Afula players scored in double figures. Point guard Kwame Vaughn (190-1990, college: CS Fullerton) answered with 33 points (!!!) and 6 assists and forward Steve Taylor Jr. (206-1993, college: Toledo) added 20 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for M.Haifa. H.Afula maintains sixth place with 13-10 record. M.Haifa at the other side keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost. H.Afula will play against league's leader I.Nahariya at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. M.Haifa will have a break next round.
