Very expected game when 15th ranked Monaco (6-14) was defeated at home by ninth ranked Le Portel (10-10) 81-68 on Saturday. Le Portel forced 23 Monaco turnovers and outrebounded them 45-33 including a 30-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Yaphet-Wilfried Moundi (202-2001) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. Cameron Valcy (192-2003) chipped in 22 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Monaco guard Nicolas Vanel (193-2003) who recorded 18 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals and Monaco center Jordan Ratton (203-2001) added 15 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Monaco's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Le Portel. They maintain ninth place with 10-10 record. Loser Monaco dropped to the fourteenth position with 14 games lost.
