Regular Season Round 24: Paterna - Maresme 67-59

No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Paterna (10-13) defeated at home bottom-ranked Maresme (1-20) 67-59 on Saturday. Paterna dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Maresme's 30. Paterna forced 22 Maresme turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Claudia Contell (177-2003) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 9 rebounds and Bosnian Nedzla Kovacevic (183-1997) who added 12 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Serbian forward Adrijana Knezevic (183-1987) with 16 points and 6 rebounds and Gedna Capel (185-2002) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Maresme's coach Jordi Vizcaino rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Despite that victory Paterna went down to tenth position due to points difference. Maresme lost tenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 20 lost games. Paterna will meet league's second-placed Jairis in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Maresme will play against Alcobendas (#3) and hope to win that game.
