Rather predictable result in Sauoarkrokur where eighth ranked Tindastoll (7-9) defeated bottom-ranked Vestri (2-15) 78-62 on Saturday. The game without a history. Tindastoll led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Vestri's players. American forward Maddie Sutton (180-1998, college: Tusculum) fired a triple-double by scoring 29 points, 23 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Point guard Eva Dagsdottir (159-2003) chipped in 9 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. American guard Danielle Shafer (173-1995, college: Urbana) produced 43 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and center Hera Kristjansdottir (-2003) added 5 points and 12 rebounds respectively for lost side. Tindastoll maintains eighth place with 7-9 record. Vestri lost their sixth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. They share it with Fjolnir 2. Tindastoll will meet league's leader Armann in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Vestri will have a break next round.
