There was an upset when higher ranked Melilla (10-10) was rolled over on the road by fourteenth ranked Carbajosa (4-16) 97-68 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American guard Jahvaughn Powell (183-1996, college: Nicholls St.) who scored 19 points, 8 assists and 4 steals. The other American import guard Tobi Ewuosho (196-1997, college: Alabama St.) chipped in 21 points. Four Carbajosa players scored in double figures.
