No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Cento (14-10) edged at home 10th ranked RO Eurobasket (10-14) 67-64 on Sunday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Cento made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Power forward Giacomo Zilli (206-1995, college: UNC Asheville, agency: Players Group) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American guard Christian James (194-1996, college: Oklahoma) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. American swingman Jeffrey Carroll (198-1994, college: OK State) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Eugenio Fanti (184-1991) added 13 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Despite that victory Cento went down to sixth position (A2) due to points difference. Loser RO Eurobasket keeps the tenth place with 14 games lost. Cento will meet Chieti (#11) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. RO Eurobasket will play against Ferrara and hope to secure a win.
