Top ranked Kipina (8-3) recorded its third loss in Aanekoski. Hosts were rolled over by seventh ranked JyWe (3-9) 106-85. The game without a history. JyWe led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 21 Kipina turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Panu Blomgren (198-2004) who helped to win the game recording 30 points. Oliver Kanden (190-2004) contributed with 24 points for the winners. American center Ricardo Glenn (203-1990, college: USC Upstate, agency: Interperformances) answered with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 20 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Sami Mantymaa (193-1988) added 19 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Kipina. Kipina's coach Joni Hautsalo gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. JyWe maintains seventh place in 1st Division with 3-9 record. Newly promoted Kipina dropped to the second position with three games lost. JyWe will play against league's leader PuHu Juniorit in Vantaa in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kipina will play at home against Pantterit and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
