Not a big story in a game in Montpellier where 10th ranked Gazelles (4-10) was edged by seventh ranked Angers (8-7) 60-59 on Sunday. Angers looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American-Nigerian power forward Oderah Chidom (193-1995, college: Duke) who scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. American swingman Jasmine Bailey (176-1990, college: UIC) chipped in 8 points, 6 rebounds and 12 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American-British guard Sydney Wallace (173-1993, college: Georgia Tech) who recorded 18 points and American forward Haley Peters (190-1992, college: Duke) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Newly promoted Angers maintains seventh place with 8-7 record. Gazelles lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with ten games lost. Angers will meet at home league's second-placed Lyon in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Gazelles will play against Roche (#5) in La Roche and hope to secure a win.
