Regular Season Round 19: Neptunas - Kibirkstis 64-80

The game between closely ranked teams ended with second ranked Kibirkstis' (19-3) road victory over 3rd placed Neptunas (13-4) 80-64 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Kibirkstis. Neptunas managed to win fourth quarter 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Kibirkstis had a 29-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for point guard Gabriele Sulske (177-1990) who led her team to a victory scoring 16 points and 9 rebounds. Center Livija Sakeviciute (188-1999) helped adding 16 points. Kibirkstis' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American point guard Savannah Plentovich (172-1998, college: Gardner-Webb, agency: Interperformances) responded with 20 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Dalia Donskichyte (169-2000) scored 16 points and 4 assists. Defending Lithuanian champion maintains second place with 19-3 record having just one point less than leader RSU 2. Loser Neptunas keep the third position with four games lost.
