Everything went according to plan when second ranked Pistoia (18-6) beat at home 13th ranked Biella (8-16) 89-84 on Wednesday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The former international point guard Lorenzo Saccaggi (188-1992, agency: Interperformances) fired 21 points and 4 assists for the winners. British forward Carl Wheatle (200-1998, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists. Five Pistoia players scored in double figures. American guard Kenny Hasbrouck (191-1986, college: Siena) produced 21 points and 8 assists and the other American import Steven Davis (203-1993, college: Wright St., agency: Octagon Europe) added 23 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Biella's coach Andrea Zanchi rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Despite that victory Pistoia went down to third position (A2) due to points difference.
