There was no surprise in Oslo where 10th ranked Centrum (2-23) was crushed by third ranked Baerum Basket (18-8) 124-61 on Wednesday. Baerum Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Centrum's 32. Baerum Basket forced 25 Centrum turnovers and outrebounded them 50-32 including a 22-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. Baerum Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Sjur Dyb Berg (201-1996, college: Alaska-Anch.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international guard Stian Mjoes (183-1989) who added 32 points during the contest. Five Baerum Basket players scored in double figures. Guard Simon Midtvedt (180-1996) responded with 18 points and 5 assists and Scottish power forward Yannick Onifade (201) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Baerum Basket have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 18-8 record having four points less than leader Froya Basket. Centrum lost seventeenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 23 lost games.
